Easy to use binary I/O extension
ISIO 200 is a simple and versatile binary I/O terminal with IEC 61850 interface. For communicating with CMC test sets and real-time message exchange with peer devices, the fast GOOSE messaging is used. By using Client/Server communication, ISIO 200 can be integrated into Substation Automation Systems (SAS) and communicate to a station controller.
In combination with a CMC test set, ISIO 200 extends the binary I/O capability of the test system. As a component of a SAS, it handles additional binary signals. Due to its compact design, binary I/O terminals can be put wherever necessary.
- Adding binary I/Os
ISIO 200 provides additional I/Os for systems interfacing with IEC 61850. This supports complex testing scenarios with CMC test sets as well as SAS that lack binary I/Os at the relays and bay controllers. - Interface to Switchgear
Several IEC 61850 data models for interfacing to different combinations of disconnector switches and circuit breakers can be selected. - Interface to Overcurrent Relays
Conventional overcurrent protection relays with only binary I/Os can interface to an IEC 61850 SAS through ISIO 200 with a matching data model. - Teleprotection Interface
By using GOOSE messaging via wide area links between substations, ISIO 200 serves as a teleprotection interface for relays with conventional binary I/Os.
